Synaptica is founded by Dr. Marijn Martens; Marijn graduated cum laude in 2010 with a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Donders Graduate School for Cognitive Neuroscience. That year he obtained a TOPTalent NWO grant and used it to conduct his PhD research titled Emerging Brain Circuits within the Department of Neuroinformatics at the Donders Institute in Nijmegen. After his PhD in 2015, Marijn worked at startups where he focused on offering medical specialists tools for personalized diagnosis, prognosis and ultimately treatment based on (digital) biomarkers.
